We are a small, independently owned Australian publisher. Our guides explain what dental and orthodontic treatment typically costs in Australia, how extras cover and government programs work, how to find a registered practitioner, and which oral-care products are worth your money.
The site is run by an editor based in Australia, working with health writers and, as they are appointed, independent clinical reviewers who are registered with AHPRA. We are not a dental practice, a health fund or a lender, and we do not provide treatment, insurance or credit.
The business is owned and operated by [Legal entity name] (ABN [ABN]). Our business address is [address].
Our guides fall into four groups.
Everything we publish is general information, not a substitute for an examination by a registered dentist or orthodontist. Prices on this site are a starting point, not a quote.
Running the site costs money, and we want you to see exactly where ours comes from. We earn revenue in four ways, and each one is labelled wherever it appears.
Two things never happen. Nobody can pay to appear in, or move up, a city shortlist. And no health fund, lender, brand or practice can pay us to change a price, a comparison or a recommendation. The detail is on our work with us and disclaimer pages.
Every price we publish is traced to a named Australian source, such as the Australian Dental Association fee survey summaries, Orthodontics Australia, privatehealth.gov.au, Healthdirect or real practice fee pages, and is described as indicative or typical. Where we cannot find a source for a figure, we say so rather than fill the gap.
We use AI tools to help draft and structure content. A human editor checks every page before it goes live, verifies the figures against their sources and rewrites anything that is unclear or unsupported. Pages are reviewed on a set cadence and dated, and corrections are logged. The full process is set out in our editorial policy.
We follow Australian health-advertising rules. We do not publish testimonials or star ratings for practices, we only describe a practitioner as a specialist orthodontist where AHPRA registration confirms it, and we never promise what a health fund will pay. Always check your policy before committing to treatment.
We are not clinicians. We do not diagnose, recommend a treatment for you or tell you what your fund will pay. If you have pain, swelling or a dental emergency, see a registered dentist, call Healthdirect on 1800 022 222 or read our emergency dentist guide.
