Invisalign in Adelaide typically costs $4,200–$9,800 in 2026. gentledentistry Adelaide on North Terrace publishes fixed prices of $5,000 for Express, $6,500 for Lite, $8,300 for Moderate and $9,800 for Comprehensive, with retainers and whitening included and a price-match on any written South Australian quote. Independent estimates put the Adelaide market at $4,200–$8,850.
Adelaide is a smaller Invisalign market than the eastern capitals, and fewer practices publish prices. The ones that do, though, publish them plainly. One CBD practice lists a fixed price for every Invisalign package and promises to match any written quote from a South Australian provider, which effectively sets a public ceiling for the city.
Independent estimates place Adelaide a little below Sydney and Melbourne for comparable cases. This page sets out the published figures, explains how to use the price-match offer, and lists what to check before you sign. National context is in our Invisalign cost guide.
The table combines one published Adelaide price list, two independent Adelaide estimates and a national aggregator, checked in November 2026. National Dental Care’s four Adelaide practices offer Invisalign but do not publish a price, saying cost depends on the number of aligners.

gentledentistry Adelaide’s fixed prices run $5,000 (Express), $6,500 (Lite), $8,300 (Moderate) and $9,800 (Comprehensive). Each includes the initial consultation, a 3D ClinCheck scan, whitening and Invisalign retainers. Its Express price is higher than the $2,500–$4,000 floors seen in Melbourne and Perth, but the bundle is fuller, and the practice commits to matching any written South Australian quote for the same treatment.
Independent figures sit lower. DentistryNearMe puts Adelaide Lite at $3,500–$5,500 and Comprehensive at $7,000–$9,500 or more. Tooth Heaven’s national guide estimates Adelaide at $4,800–$7,500 overall. WhatsTheDamage, compiling published clinic price lists, gives $4,200–$8,850 per course for clinic-supervised aligners, with consultations at $0–$420 and metal braces at $4,650–$8,350 for comparison.
Put together, a realistic Adelaide expectation for 2026 is roughly $4,000–$6,500 for a mild to moderate case and $7,000–$9,800 for Comprehensive treatment at a general dentist, with specialist orthodontists potentially above that.
A published price match changes how you should shop. Get a written quote from a second Adelaide practice for the same Invisalign package, then take it to the price-matching practice. If the second quote is lower, you can have it matched at the practice whose bundle you prefer; if it is higher, you know the fixed price is competitive.
Two cautions. The match applies to the same treatment, so an Express quote will not be matched against a Comprehensive one. And a lower price with retainers excluded is not actually lower once a $300–$800 retainer set is added. Compare inclusions line by line.
Imagine a Lite case quoted at $5,200 by a suburban Adelaide dentist, retainers excluded at $450. Taken to the North Terrace practice, its $6,500 Lite price would be matched to $5,200 for the same treatment, and its bundle already includes retainers and whitening. The matched quote is now $450 cheaper than the original on a like-for-like basis. The point is not which practice to choose, but that a second written quote in Adelaide has direct, bankable value.
gentledentistry Adelaide’s fixed prices include the consultation, scan, whitening and retainers. Other Adelaide practices will vary. Across Australia, practices generally bundle the scan, ClinCheck plan, all aligners, attachments and review visits, but retainers ($300–$800) and additional refinement rounds ($300–$800 each) may be separate.
Ask any Adelaide practice to confirm in writing: the package name, how many refinement rounds are included, whether retainers are included, the fee for a lost aligner, and what happens if the case needs to switch to braces. National Dental Care’s new-patient offer of $199 for an exam, clean and X-rays is a check-up price, not an Invisalign price, and should not be confused with a treatment quote.
Invisalign is claimed under orthodontics on extras cover, generally after a 12-month waiting period and subject to annual or lifetime limits. Finder estimates a mid-range to comprehensive extras policy returns about $600–$800 a year; practices commonly cite lifetime orthodontic limits of $1,000–$3,000. These are indicative; check your own policy. Medicare does not cover orthodontics, and SA Dental’s public services do not provide Invisalign.
Payment plans are standard in Adelaide. National Dental Care offers its interest-free SmileFund plan, and most private practices offer in-house instalments or third-party finance. A $6,500 Lite case over 24 months is roughly $270 a month before any rebate. Read the terms on deposits and missed payments, and see our payment plans guide.
Your quote minus what your fund pays, per week.
If aligners are not suitable, read Invisalign vs braces and our braces cost guide, or start with a check-up through the Adelaide dentist directory.
Published and independent figures for 2026 put Invisalign in Adelaide at roughly $4,200–$9,800. gentledentistry Adelaide lists fixed prices of $5,000 (Express) to $9,800 (Comprehensive) with retainers and whitening included, while DentistryNearMe estimates Lite at $3,500–$5,500 and Comprehensive at $7,000–$9,500 or more. Your quote follows a scan and treatment plan.
Slightly, for comparable cases. WhatsTheDamage's Adelaide market range of $4,200–$8,850 sits below its Sydney range of $5,050–$10,500 and Melbourne's $4,850–$10,500. Tooth Heaven's estimate of $4,800–$7,500 for Adelaide is also lower than its Sydney and Melbourne figures. The package and practitioner still matter more than the city.
Few do. gentledentistry Adelaide on North Terrace publishes fixed prices for all four packages and offers to match any written South Australian quote. National Dental Care's Adelaide clinics offer Invisalign but quote individually after a consultation. Most other practices offer free consultations and quote after a scan, so plan to collect two written quotes.
Invisalign is claimed under orthodontics on extras cover, usually after a 12-month waiting period. Finder estimates mid to comprehensive policies return about $600–$800 a year, and practices commonly cite lifetime orthodontic limits of $1,000–$3,000. Rebates are a contribution rather than full cover, and Medicare does not pay for orthodontics. Check your policy's orthodontic limit before starting.
Not for mild to moderate alignment, where an experienced general dentist is appropriate and often cheaper. For overbites, crossbites, extractions or treatment likely to exceed 18 months, see an AHPRA-registered specialist orthodontist. Check the register directly; a practice name that includes the word orthodontic does not confirm specialist registration.
